ARTIST PROFILE

Rachel Marie Clarke is a native of Iowa. Currently residing in Cedar Rapids, Clarke received a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in studio art with a minor in art history from the University of Northern Iowa in Fall 2020. From a young age, Clarke has always had an interest in arts and crafts, such as drawing, painting, knitting and crocheting. In one body of work, she uses her knowledge to knit and crochet pieces of plastic bags together to create sculptures. In another body of work, she uses drawing and painting on fabric to create three dimensional drawings.
