ARTIST PROFILE

Rachel Marie Clarke is a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Currently residing in Lincoln, Nebraska, Clarke received her Masters of Fine Arts degree, with an emphasis in painting/drawing & sculpture, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree, with an emphasis in drawing, and a minor in art history from the University of Northern Iowa.

 

From a young age, Clarke has always had an interest in arts and crafts, such as drawing, painting, knitting and crocheting. Her most recent body of work details the condition of living with a chronic illness and how our bodies can slowly begin to malfunction.
